President Biden has been causing quite the stir within his own party as the far-left wing of the Democratic Party has been left fuming over his actions. From his support for Israel to his immigration policies, the progressive Democrats have not been holding back their criticism.
First off, let’s talk about Biden’s stance on Israel. The man has been getting some major heat from the far-left for throwing his support behind Israel. The “Squad,” led by firebrand likes of Rep. Rashida Tlaib, has been no-holds-barred in their denunciation of Biden’s pro-Israel stance. They’ve even gone as far as accusing him of enabling a genocide, despite intelligence suggesting otherwise. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you, am I right?
Then there’s the immigration issue. Biden’s policies on immigration have been a thorn in the side of the progressives since day one, but the discontent has only grown as he looks to make compromises with the Republicans. Some House and Senate Democrats have warned Biden that they won’t just roll over and accept his compromises, and the chairwoman of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, Jayapal, even issued a warning that the party could fall apart if Biden keeps making these changes. Yikes!
And don’t even get the progressives started on oil drilling. They were up in arms when the Biden administration approved the Willow Project in Alaska, calling it a betrayal of his commitment to fighting climate change and advancing environmental justice. But despite that, they’re still revoking Trump-era oil and gas leases in the area. It’s like they can’t make up their minds over there!
Last but not least, Biden’s flip-flop on the GOP crime bill really rubbed the progressive Democrats the wrong way. After hinting that he would support left-wing crime reforms in Washington D.C., he did a complete 180 and announced that he would sign a bill that would overturn those reforms. The progressives in Congress and Washington, D.C. saw this as a major betrayal, and it’s clear that they’re not about to let this one slide.
It’s clear that the far-left wing of the Democratic Party isn’t messing around when it comes to holding Biden accountable for his actions. The infighting and backlash within the party is just heating up, and it’s anyone’s guess how this will all play out in the end. Stay tuned for more drama from the left-wing!
