Oh boy, folks, it seems like the Biden Administration just can’t get enough of undoing former President Trump’s hard work at the border. It’s like they have a vendetta against secure borders or something. In true Democrat fashion, President Joe Biden spent his Thursday night blaming “MAGA Republicans” for the worst border crisis in U.S. history. Can you believe it?
While it's true that there has been a significant influx of undocumented migrants into the country during Biden's presidency, he has chosen to place blame elsewhere. Biden stated, "MAGA Republicans…spent four years dismantling the immigration system during my predecessor's term. They persist in challenging our border security today." It's worth considering this perspective!
This week, Border Patrol agents encountered an extraordinary situation as more than 10,000 migrants unlawfully entered Eagle Pass, Texas, in a mere 24-hour period. Yet, does President Biden acknowledge any responsibility for this crisis? Certainly not. Instead, he urges his fellow politicians to address the issue and emphasizes that immigration reform has historically received bipartisan backing. Well, Joe, perhaps you should convey this message to the overburdened states and the American citizens grappling with the consequences of your ineffective policies.
The Biden Administration seems to be evading accountability and minimizing the problems they've generated at the southern border. Instead, they are touting their border strategy as a triumph. Yet, if the desired results of their approach were to burden state resources, facilitate human trafficking, escalate the influx of perilous drugs like fentanyl, and fuel an uptick in crime rates due to undocumented migrants, one could reasonably infer that they have achieved their mission.
One Republican who refuses to accept Biden's blame-shifting is Representative Brian Mast. He boldly challenges the administration, accusing them of purposefully neglecting the border crisis. Mast firmly states, "The administration could resolve this issue within a minute if they chose to, but they opt against it." And his statement is accurate. The administration deliberately avoids reinstating the "Remain in Mexico" policy. They choose to transport individuals, finance their legal fees, offer lodging, and provide food – essentially covering all expenses. It's as if they prioritize providing a better quality of life for illegal immigrants over hardworking Americans!
In case you missed the latest developments, Customs and Border Protection sources have disclosed that out of the 10,000 migrants encountered in Eagle Pass, over 8,500 were apprehended for attempting illegal entry. This paints a grim picture of a border plan that isn't succeeding but, rather, failing and endangering American citizens.
Just when it seemed things couldn't deteriorate further, the Biden Administration has announced that 472,000 Venezuelans will be granted temporary protected status this week. So not only are they falling short on border security, but they are also conferring protected status upon illegal immigrants. It appears as though there's a disregard for our national security and the principles of the rule of law.
It's evident that the Biden Administration's priorities do not prioritize border security; instead, they seem more focused on appeasing their base and advancing their agenda. The American people deserve better than this. It's high time for genuine leadership that places the safety and welfare of American citizens at the forefront.
