President Joe Biden and his anti-Second Amendment allies are at it again, folks! They love to jump on the bandwagon and push their gun control agenda every time there’s a tragic mass shooting. But when it comes to the daily loss of innocent lives to gun violence in Democrat-run cities, they remain eerily silent. It’s hypocrisy at its finest.
Take the case of Jack Jacobsen, a brave U.S. Navy veteran who tragically lost his life in a shooting in Chicago. This young man was just trying to do his job as a tow truck driver when he was ambushed and gunned down. He was about to become a father, but now his child will never know the love of their dad. It’s a heartbreaking and unnecessary loss.
Reports indicate that Jacobsen had repossessed a black Land Rover when the shooting occurred. Multiple bullet holes were found in the windshield, and Jacobsen was discovered dead in the driver’s seat with a handgun by his side. It’s still unclear if that gun belonged to him or if it was even fired. But one thing is for sure, this was a senseless act of violence.
Chicago’s Northwest Recovery, where Jacobsen worked, acknowledged the dangers their tow truck drivers face on a daily basis. They’re just doing their job, recovering vehicles, and yet they’re put at risk by criminals who show no regard for human life. It’s a sad reality, but one that President Biden and his gun control cronies refuse to address.
Jacobsen’s devastated family received the heart-wrenching news in a phone call from a friend who had been on the line with him when the shooting occurred. Can you imagine the pain and anguish they must be feeling? This young man had so much ahead of him, and now his loved ones are left to pick up the pieces and plan a funeral instead of a baby shower.

Despite their grief, the community has rallied around Jacobsen’s family. A GoFundMe page was set up to honor his memory and provide financial support. And let me tell you, folks, the outpouring of love and generosity has been incredible. Within just one day, the campaign surpassed its initial goal of $25,000, with donations totaling over $54,000. It’s a testament to the impact Jacobsen had on those around him.
It’s time for President Biden and his anti-gun comrades to stop exploiting tragedies for their political gain. They need to address the gun violence epidemic in our cities and focus on keeping law-abiding citizens safe. We need real solutions, not empty rhetoric. Innocent lives like Jack Jacobsen’s depend on it.
