Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi reluctantly acknowledged the possibility that Joe Biden might drop out of the 2024 race, but she quickly attempted to brush off the question. When asked if she thinks Kamala Harris should run to be elected Vice President, Pelosi smirked and evaded the question with her typical evasion tactics.

Biden’s cognitive abilities have been scrutinized by both Democrats and Republicans, and Kamala Harris recently stated that she is ready to step into the presidency “if necessary.” However, Pelosi avoided giving a direct answer when pressed about whether Harris is the best running mate for Biden.

“She thinks so, and that’s what matters. She’s very politically astute. I don’t think people give her enough credit,” Pelosi vaguely responded. She added that Harris’ values align with the president’s and questioned why she would be vice president if they didn’t.
Pelosi continued to dodge the question with a smirk, emphasizing that the vice president’s role is to do very little. “She’s the vice president of the United States. That’s the job description. You don’t do that much,” Pelosi said dismissively.
In addition to discussing Biden’s potential dropout and Harris’ vice presidential candidacy, Pelosi also warned Democrats about the dangers of another Trump presidency. She claimed that the fate of democracy is at stake in the upcoming election and stressed the need to prove that America’s democracy remains strong.
Earlier in the week, Pelosi admitted that her main motivation for seeking reelection is to raise money. She acknowledged that being a candidate allows her to raise funds for herself, highlighting the financial aspect of her decision.
It’s clear to see that Pelosi’s responses are evasive and lacking in substance. It’s concerning that Biden’s cognitive abilities are being called into question, and Harris’ readiness for the presidency should also be critically examined. Pelosi’s attempts to downplay these concerns with smirks and vague answers only reinforce the need for transparency and accountability in our politicians.
