The House Committee on Oversight and Accountability has thrown down the gauntlet to President Joe Biden, calling him to the congressional hot seat to answer questions about his questionable family business dealings. Chairman James Comer isn’t playing games, sending a direct invite to Biden to spill the beans as early as April 16. Oh boy, the drama is thick on Capitol Hill as the Republicans are barking up the impeachment tree, while the Democrats are squirming in their seats.

Comer demands answers from President Biden about cozying up with some shady characters, like Ye Jianming and folks at Burisma Holdings. The big question is whether Biden’s clan has been swimming in murky waters with their overseas ventures. The committee wants to know if Hunter’s buddy was poking around in the president’s business till just a few years back. And hold your horses, did Joe ever ask his brother where the cash came from to pay back a loan? The plot thickens!
Hunter Biden, the man of the hour, has already faced the committee in a private grilling where he conveniently suffered from a severe case of amnesia, pulling out the ol’ “I don’t recall” card over and over. But hey, he did remember to clear his dad, saying Joe was as clean as a whistle. How touching! Now, the committee wanted Hunter to do a public song and dance with his ex-business pals, but he decided to skip the show, calling it a media circus planned in advance. Can you blame him for not wanting to be part of that show?
Chairman Comer isn’t backing down, laying down the gauntlet for a public showdown where Biden can spill the tea under oath. He even reminded Biden about history lessons, bringing up President Ford’s time on the stand in ’74 and even flicking through the dusty archives to dig out Abe Lincoln’s appearance way back in ’63. Looks like the old boys knew how to face the music when the heat was on. Let’s see if Biden will bring the same energy or if he’ll fumble his way through the tough questions.
