Over 400 federal agency staffers and political appointees are stirring up trouble for President Biden by demanding a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip. These rebels are making a big stink about the White House’s handling of the conflict, and they even wrote up a fancy letter to Mr. Biden to let him know how unhappy they are.
The letter starts off by bashing those pesky Hamas militants for their attack that killed over 1,400 people in Israel. Then it goes on to beg the President to stop the Palestinian civilian casualties caused by the Israeli military’s operations in Gaza. These guys are really laying it on thick, aren’t they?
These rebellious signatories hail from more than 40 government agencies, like the FBI and the National Security Council. They even brought up some public polling to try and show that there’s huge support for a cease-fire. But who do they think they are, going against the President’s stance on this whole shebang?

The letter also mentions the Palestinian authorities claiming over 11,000 casualties due to Israel’s retaliatory strikes targeting Hamas. But come on, who’s really to blame here?
Good ol’ Mr. Biden has been trying his best to handle the Israeli military campaign but has been catching flack from his own team. He says he supports Israel’s right to respond to those raids, but he also mentions something about following international law. Ugh, politicians and their wishy-washy words.
The pressure’s really getting to Mr. Biden, especially with reports of Gaza hospitals struggling to keep their lights on during the fighting. And then there’s all this talk about letters from his staff members opposing his Israel approach. It’s like a revolt in the ranks!
But don’t you worry, because the White House has a little trick up its sleeve. They’re flaunting another letter from former Biden and Obama administration bigwigs who are singing praises for Mr. Biden’s strategy. They’re all about that “moral clarity” and “courageous leadership.” It’s like a battle of the letters in the White House!
In the end, though, we know who the real winner is. It’s Mr. Biden, of course. Because when it comes to handling Israel and the Gaza Strip, he’s the one calling the shots, letters be darned!
