In a typical display of Democratic incompetence, the White House staffer Andrew Bates took a break from attacking Republicans to release a statement about the tragic loss of American lives at the hands of Hamas terrorists in Israel. Rather than condemning the murderers and standing firmly with our closest ally, Bates couldn’t help but take a jab at the Republican National Committee. It seems like the Democrats can never miss an opportunity to score political points, even in the face of a horrifying tragedy.
While Bates tries to paint a picture of unity and solidarity, his words fall flat. It’s clear that the Biden administration’s response to this crisis has been lackluster at best. President Biden himself hasn’t even bothered to release a direct statement about the murdered Americans and chose to call a lid before noon. It’s no wonder that the American people are left wondering if their leader truly cares about their safety and well-being.
Meanwhile, American citizens are being held hostage in the Gaza Strip, and the Iranian-backed terrorist organization is openly threatening to murder them on live television. This is an absolute disgrace and a chilling reminder of the dangers we face in a world where radical Islamic terrorism runs rampant. It’s now more important than ever that we have strong leadership that will take decisive action to protect American lives and hold these terrorists accountable.
But don’t worry, the White House wants us to know that President Biden is “working.” They assure us that he’s had meetings with various officials and directed his team to “follow up on coordination with Israel.” Yet, as the hours tick by without a public statement or any indication of a strong response, it’s hard to have confidence in this administration’s ability to handle the situation effectively. It’s all talk and no action.
In times like these, we need a leader who will stand firm with our allies, condemn terrorism unequivocally, and take decisive action to protect American citizens. Unfortunately, that’s not what we’re seeing from the Biden administration. It’s clear that their priorities lie elsewhere, whether it’s attacking Republicans or avoiding public scrutiny. We deserve better, and it’s about time we hold them accountable for their lackluster response to this crisis.
