Secretary of State Antony Blinken just can’t seem to catch a break when it comes to flying on government-owned planes. This poor guy had to hit the road again, literally, when his trusty Boeing 737 encountered yet another “mechanical issue.” Oh boy, that must’ve been a fun adventure – getting stuck on the ground and then being chauffeured in a bus from Paris to Brussels for a NATO meeting. What a way to travel!

And this isn’t the first time Blinken’s been left high and dry by his fancy government aircraft. Back in January, during his Davos trip in Switzerland, his plane had an oxygen tank leak. An oxygen tank leak! Can you believe it? That’s like something out of a bad airplane disaster movie. Talk about a close call! Blinken had to hop on a helicopter to catch a replacement plane. Meanwhile, his poor aides had to slum it on commercial flights back home. Must’ve been a real bonding experience for the team!
But hey, it’s not all Blinken’s fault, right? The blame seems to be falling on Boeing, the company that makes his planes. It sounds like they’ve been having a rough time lately with their jets. Mechanical issues, fatal crashes, loose bolts – yikes! Maybe they should stick to making toy airplanes instead. Seriously, someone needs to tighten the screws over there, pun intended.
So what’s the deal, Boeing? Get your act together! Secretary Blinken shouldn’t have to deal with these nerve-wracking airborne escapades just to do his job. Let’s hope his next flight is smooth sailing… or should I say smooth flying? But knowing his luck, he might want to start looking into parachutes as backup. Stay safe up there, Mr. Secretary!
