A Senate Appropriations Committee hearing was rudely interrupted by a bunch of protesters who apparently can’t read a room. These left-wing loons had the audacity to call for the United States to stop funding Israel and demand an immediate ceasefire in the war between Israel and Hamas terrorists. Talk about misplaced priorities! Thankfully, Senate Appropriations Committee chairwoman Patty Murray (D-WA) swiftly shut them down, putting them in their place not once, not twice, but a whopping five times in just 10 minutes.
It all started with a woman in a pink shirt, of course. She held up a sign that said “no more $$$ 4 Israel” and had the nerve to chant “ceasefire now” as she was escorted out by the police. The next protester, also donning a pink shirt (surprise, surprise), had a sign that said “ceasefire in Gaza” on one side and “no more $ for war” on the other. She had the audacity to claim that Israel was committing “genocide” against Gaza.

But the madness didn’t stop there. Oh no, there were more protesters! A third one shouted and held up a sign saying “no to the siege of Gaza,” while simultaneously chanting “ceasefire now.” And then we had a fourth protester, who didn’t even bother with a sign, just yelled about the need for a ceasefire. Really, people? Can we not have a civilized hearing without your incessant interruptions?
To top it all off, a group of these so-called protesters decided it was a good idea to start shouting and holding up signs during the hearing. Some of their signs even had nonsensical phrases like “from Palestine to Mexico all walls have got to go” and “no walls no war.” Really, border security is now a bad thing? These protesters were promptly escorted out, but not before chanting “ceasefire now” like broken records.
It’s outrageous that these individuals think they can disrupt a Senate hearing with their misguided agenda. This hearing was about the Biden administration’s national security funding for Ukraine and Israel, two countries that deserve our support in their fights against terrorism. But of course, these protesters couldn’t care less about that. They’re too busy pushing their own radical narrative and ignoring the real threats in the world. It’s time to put an end to these childish disruptions and focus on what really matters – protecting our allies and standing up against terrorism.
