In a stunning display of their true colors, two left-wing Democrats in the House of Representatives have voted against a bill that would prevent Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists involved in the attacks against Israel from entering the United States. It’s a shame, really, that these representatives, Cori Bush of Missouri and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, are more interested in defending terrorists than protecting the safety and security of American citizens.
These two individuals, known for their vocal criticism of Israel, voted against the “No Immigration Benefits for Hamas Terrorists Act,” which passed with an overwhelming majority. And who were the only two legislators to stand against this common-sense legislation? That’s right, Bush and Tlaib. They truly are the odd ones out in Congress.

Introduced by Republican Representative Tom McClintock, the bill clearly states that anyone involved in the heinous attacks carried out by Hamas starting on October 7, 2023, would be inadmissible to the United States. This seems like a reasonable precaution to take. After all, these Palestinian terrorists mercilessly killed 1,200 innocent people, committed heinous acts of violence, and held hundreds of hostages. But apparently, Bush and Tlaib don’t see the need to protect American soil from those who harm our allies.
It’s worth noting that Democratic Representative Della Ramirez of Illinois chose not to take a stance and voted “present.” It’s disappointing that she couldn’t muster the will to stand against these terrorists and those who support them.
Bush and Tlaib have a long history of making outrageous statements. They have referred to Israel as an “apartheid state” and have even suggested that Israel is committing genocide. Such baseless accusations only serve to undermine our close relationship with Israel, one of our strongest allies in the region.
Tlaib, in particular, has defended the use of a Palestinian rallying cry that calls for the destruction of Israel. How can she claim that this slogan represents “peaceful coexistence” when it explicitly calls for the elimination of a sovereign nation? It’s actions like these that make it clear where their true loyalties lie.
It’s concerning that these individuals, who hold such extreme views and seem to sympathize with terrorists, are elected officials in our great nation. They should be held accountable for their reckless words and actions, and we must question their ability to effectively represent the interests of the American people.
Unfortunately, neither Bush nor Tlaib have responded to requests for comment on their vote against this important legislation. But with their track record, it’s unlikely that their explanations would do anything to justify their support for terrorists.
In the end, it is the responsibility of every American to ensure that those who advocate for the interests of terrorists are not given a platform to spread their dangerous ideology. It’s time for true patriots to reject the radical agenda of individuals like Bush and Tlaib and stand up for the safety and security of our nation.
