Byron Donalds Eyes VP Slot Under Trump, Ready to Lead

Rep. Byron Donalds of Florida is considering the possibility of being former President Donald Trump’s vice president. He expressed his confidence in being able to step in as commander-in-chief if necessary, citing his intelligence and ability to make sound decisions. Donalds is among a group of eight individuals that Trump is considering for the position, including his fellow Republican colleagues and senators.

Donalds made these comments following Trump’s praise for him during a community roundtable event, where the former president indicated that Donalds was high on his list of potential candidates. Trump also hinted at the likelihood of announcing his vice presidential pick at the Republican National Convention in July.

During a television interview, Donalds acknowledged that if chosen, he would rely on the expertise of individuals surrounding him to fulfill the vice president's responsibilities. Despite his belief in his capability to serve in the position, Donald expressed his willingness to support whoever Trump ultimately selects.

Donalds, a member of the House Financial Services Committee with a background in banking, emphasized the importance of having qualified individuals to support the vice president in carrying out the duties in the best interest of the American people.
