CBS Tries to Revamp Dan Rather’s Tarnished Career Amid Controversy

Disgraced former anchorman Dan Rather, who just won’t fade away like a bad smell, is now 92 years old, and CBS, the same network that kicked him to the curb like a soggy newspaper for trying to pull a fast one during the 2004 presidential election, has decided to give him a makeover. Yep, you heard it right! They’re trying to spruce up his tarnished reputation. Good luck with that!

Back in the day, when Rather was on a mission to make sure George W. Bush didn’t get reelected, he aired a story on 60 Minutes II claiming that Bush had been playing hooky during his time in the Texas Air National Guard. Rather and his crew were so sure they had a smoking gun with those documents. Turns out, the only smoke came from the hot air they were blowing. Those documents were faker than a three-dollar bill, and bloggers everywhere were quick to call him out on his bluff.

But did Rather admit he messed up? Nope! Instead, he doubled down on his lie and went digging for someone to vouch for him. The internet wasn’t having any of it, though. People were calling him out left and right, forcing CBS to wave the white flag and admit the documents were as phony as a promise from a politician.

Despite the egg on his face, Rather refused to back down. He eventually got the boot from CBS, and to add insult to injury, his $70 million lawsuit against them got tossed like a bad potato. But that didn’t stop him from continuing to push his agenda through social media and other platforms.

Now, fast forward to today, and CBS is trying to give Rather a facelift by glamorizing his so-called journalistic career. They’re spinning it like he’s some kind of hero of the fourth estate. Sure, and pigs might fly one day! This whole charade is just another example of the left trying to prop up their own, no matter how deep they’ve dug themselves into a hole.

So, while Rather may be getting a shiny new documentary and a pat on the back from Hollywood, let’s not forget the mess he made during that election. The man who couldn’t admit defeat in his own shoddy reporting doesn’t deserve a redemption tour. He deserves a reality check and a one-way ticket to obscurity.
