A Chinese Communist Party-controlled media outlet warned Elon Musk on Monday after he backed the lab leak theory regarding COVID-19.
Musk responded to a post about Dr. Fauci on Sunday, stating that he believed the scientist funded the creation of the virus. The Global Times, a state-run newspaper in China, then posted a critical analysis of Musk on its social media platform.
In response, Musk referred to Fauci and the EcoHealth Alliance, a non-profit organization that received funding from the US government. He then implied that the scientist was partly responsible for the development of the virus by facilitating research in Wuhan.
Dr. Anthony Fauci funded gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab, lied to Congress about it, and now both the FBI & the Department of Energy have concluded that the coronavirus originated at the Wuhan lab.

Supporters of the lab leak theory believe that the COVID-19 pandemic started due to the leaking of the virus from the WIV, which was conducting dangerous studies on bats.
CNBC's Eunice Yoon reported on Tuesday that the Global Times, a government-controlled newspaper in China, criticized Musk on WeChat, an online social media platform in the country. The paper asked whether the entrepreneur was breaking the country's pot.
Yoon noted that the phrase "breaking the pot after eating" is an idiom used in China.
Tesla is China's second-largest company, and it has a major facility in Shanghai. Despite his growing political activism, Musk has not been able to publicly criticize the country's government.
Tesla did not respond to the Daily Caller's request for comment.
