Trump’s spokeswoman, Karoline Leavitt, found herself at the sharp end of CNN’s censorship tactics when her interview was abruptly terminated. Apparently, CNN host Kasie Hunt just couldn’t handle a dose of the truth about the network’s anti-Trump antics. When Leavitt laid out the facts about CNN’s blatant bias, Hunt did what any good liberal does when cornered—she hit the eject button.
The segment was set up to discuss the upcoming debate between former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden. Leavitt, naturally, took the opportunity to critique Biden and extol Trump’s debate preparedness. She also pointed out the obvious bias of moderators Jake Tapper and Dana Bash. This, of course, sent Hunt into an overdramatic tailspin, leading her to prematurely cut the interview.

As Hunt scrambled to regain control, Leavitt was halfway through exposing Tapper’s egregious 2023 comparison of Trump to Hitler. The irony is palpable when considering the left’s recent silence on antisemitism blazing through colleges and public discourse, right under their noses. It’s almost as if their commitment to combating hate evaporates when the perpetrators aren’t useful villains for their narrative.
Hunt defended her decision on social media, portraying it as a matter of etiquette. Her Twitter banner, however—a cozy photo with Joe Biden—paints a different picture. Guess it’s easy to declare yourself the referee when you’re playing for the same team.
Leavitt was quick to respond, underscoring the point she was making all along: Trump wouldn’t get a fair shake from CNN’s moderators. If a simple mention of their anti-Trump bias sends them scrambling for the mute button, one has to wonder what other truths they’re unwilling to face.
CNN felt the need to rush to the defense of Jake Tapper and Dana Bash, hailing them as seasoned pros. Yet, their combined decades of experience apparently haven’t seasoned them enough to tolerate a few well-placed truths about their biased reporting.
