Congress Shreds NPR CEO Over Woke Tweets and Taxpayer Funding

NPR CEO Katherine Maher got roasted in Congress this week. Lawmakers grilled her over old tweets pushing wild ideas about race and government. They asked why taxpayers should fund a network that hates America’s values.

Maher’s tweets attacked “white supremacy” and called looting “counterproductive” instead of evil. She once said America steals from black people to help whites. Congressman Brandon Gill blasted her for these woke ideas. He asked if NPR really needs tax dollars to talk about “genderqueer dinosaur fans.” Maher had no good answers.

Republicans say NPR and PBS became leftist propaganda machines. They play identity politics instead of reporting news. Marjorie Taylor Greene called them out for pushing garbage like critical race theory. She said rural Americans don’t even listen anymore. NPR’s audience is mostly rich coastal liberals.

The hearing exposed NPR’s bias. Former NPR editor Uri Berliner quit after saying the network abandoned fairness. Now Maher runs things. Her old tweets prove she’s obsessed with race and censorship. She called Trump a “racist sociopath” and cheered Big Tech banning conservatives.

Taxpayers give NPR over $500 million yearly. But NPR lies about needing the cash. Only 1% of their budget comes from Washington. Local stations get more, but even that’s wasted on woke nonsense. Why fund a network that hates half the country?

Glenn Beck says Maher is a “wolf in sheep’s clothing.” Her friendly act hides radical plans. Congress missed asking her about censoring conservatives. But the damage is done. NPR’s mask fell off. They can’t hide their leftist agenda anymore.

Defunding NPR is common sense. Let them spew bias on their own dime. America’s broke and shouldn’t pay for lies. The GOP is right to end this scam. NPR doesn’t serve the public—it serves left-wing elites. Time to pull the plug.
