Democrats are resorting to desperate measures to try and keep Donald Trump from winning the presidency. Even though they have tried to bury him, the former president is still maintaining a strong lead over the rest of the Republican field. He is even beating Joe Biden in some polls.
A couple of polls showed Trump with a five-point lead over Biden, and the New York Times and the Siena poll had them even. RealClear Politics also had Biden ahead by only 0.9 points. With how these polls consistently favor Democrats, Trump’s victory is quite remarkable.
It has been reported that Barack Obama is being urged by his party to step in and save Trump from becoming the next president. According to a report by the Washington Post, the former president met with Biden this summer to discuss the various strengths of Trump. Obama is reportedly worried that the Republican nominee could become a more formidable opponent.
A report claiming that Barack Obama is not concerned about Joe Biden's abilities is not accurate. He knows that the former vice president has many deficiencies, and he initially held back from endorsing him for the 2020 presidential nomination due to these. In addition, Biden's poor performance in the Iowa caucuses showed that he still has a long way to go before he can become a viable candidate.

Obama's fundraising efforts during the fall could help Biden get the boost he needs. The former president has already released a video message urging his supporters to give to Biden's campaign.
The Democratic Party is resorting to this strategy because they are worried that Trump will become a stronger opponent. Although they can try various legal actions against him, they will not be able to hide Biden from the public anymore. The scandals will still continue to emerge, and Obama has only so much he can do to save the Democrats from further losses. I can't say I'm not enjoying the show right now.
