Oh boy, get ready for a wild ride through the state of Ohio, folks! Republican Gov. Mike DeWine put his foot down and vetoed a measure that would have protected our girls’ sports and prevented our precious minors from getting gender-transition care. Can you believe it? The governor actually stood up against the liberal agenda trying to infiltrate our great state.

Now, don’t go popping the confetti just yet, because those sneaky GOP lawmakers are lurking around, waiting to see if they can override DeWine’s veto. It’s like a game of political chess, but with much higher stakes. And let’s not forget, the Republicans in the Legislature can’t seem to get on the same page this year.
There were hundreds of opponents who showed up to protest against Ohio’s measure, including medical and mental health providers, education professionals, faith leaders, and even some parents. There were also many people who supported this measure, and it’s a shame they didn’t get as much airtime.
The measure, which thankfully passed the Legislature with only Republican support, would have stopped Ohio minors from getting hormone therapies or gender reassignment surgery. It would’ve made sure these precious young souls could continue treatment they are currently receiving, which is a win-win situation.
Now, Governor DeWine is swimming against the tide, folks. Around 20 states have already put laws in place to restrict or ban these treatments, and you know what? It’s about time Ohio hopped on that bandwagon. We’ve got to protect our girls’ sports and make sure they’re not being outrun by boys pretending to be girls.
And don’t even get started on the President Joe Biden administration’s proposed regulation that could mess with Ohio’s plans. We don’t need the federal government meddling in our business, thank you very much.
