President Joe Biden’s announcement that he’s running for re-election in 2024 should come as no surprise to anyone. However, the theme of “democracy” seems to be far from the truth as the Democratic National Committee refuses to hold primary debates for challengers, Marianne Williamson and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

This decision to silence opposing voices has made it clear that the Democratic establishment is not interested in true democracy, but instead are resorting to rigging the nomination process. It’s no wonder why Kennedy and Williamson are slamming this choice.

DNC has already announced that it will not allow any debates in 2024 primary. Biden is not to be challenged. Everyone on the Democratic side must shut up and fall in line. Not having debates is undemocratic and ridiculous. No progressive should agree to this kind of power grab.

Even former Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard, who had the courage to stand up against the DNC establishment, is calling out the hypocrisy. It’s clear that the Democratic Party isn’t interested in allowing a fair and open election, but are sticking to their old, corrupt ways.
It’s unfortunate to see the lack of transparency and fairness in the Democratic Party. Biden’s so-called commitment to democracy seems to be a mere facade. Instead of continuing to suppress opposing voices and ignore the voices of the people, it’s time for the Democratic Party to step up and truly embrace democracy.
