Dutch politician Thierry Baudet found himself on the receiving end of a violent attack right before the election in the Netherlands. Antifa, a far-left extremist group, proudly took credit for the assault. The attacker, a 15-year-old member of the local Antifa chapter, acted on his convictions to disrupt gatherings and combat what they perceive as right-wing extremism. Of course, Antifa conveniently refused to confirm whether the attack was premeditated or not. Typical.

Not only did the Antifa member physically assault Baudet, but he also had the audacity to blame the populist leader for the attack itself. According to the assailant, it was Baudet’s words that led to this act of violence. Well, isn’t that a convenient way to shirk responsibility?
Thankfully, Baudet escaped serious harm and received prompt medical attention from a trauma surgeon. But make no mistake, this attack could have been much worse. Baudet has consistently faced threats and attacks due to his strong opposition to mass migration and the globalist agenda of the European Union. He’s even had threats scrawled on his office’s door, forcing him to hire security guards for protection. Just last month, an umbrella-wielding assailant targeted him while he was on his way to give a speech in Belgium. It’s clear that Baudet’s views are attracting a lot of attention and disdain from those who reject his ideas.
In light of these recent events, Baudet and his party, Forum for Democracy, are pushing for Antifa to be labeled as a terrorist organization in the Netherlands. They argue that Antifa’s actions qualify as criminal behavior and warrant more effective investigation methods to prevent future acts of political violence. It’s about time someone called out Antifa for what they truly are – a terrifying and dangerous group that hides behind a supposed “anti-fascist” façade while committing acts of violence. Let’s hope the Dutch government takes swift action in response to this heinous attack.
