Twitter CEO Elon Musk has recently responded to the Biden Administration’s Pride Month initiatives which aimed at expanding the LGBTQ+ community and infringing on the rights of parents in the lives of children. In a powerful statement on June 13th, Musk tweeted, “You are the government. They are NOT your kids.” This tweet has gained millions of views and has caused a heated debate online.

Musk’s tweet essentially encapsulates the perspective of many conservative Americans. These initiatives were an example of the government overstepping its bounds with policies that aim to influence the lives and beliefs of children, often disregarding parental input. The parents, not the government, should have control over the lives of their children.
This isn’t Musk’s first time weighing in on the matter. In April, the Twitter CEO responded to an open question posed by online commentator Matt Wallace, about the need to ban permanent gender surgeries for little kids. Musk’s response was an emphatic “Absolutely.”
It’s no secret the Biden administration has been aggressively promoting its progressive agenda, often to the detriment of parental and religious rights. Its continued effort to silence conservative voices is just one example of its overreaching, oppressive policies. Fortunately, major figures like Elon Musk are boldly speaking out against this and other issues in our nation. We can only hope that the administration will listen and consider the voices of those it claims to serve.
