According to CNN, it has obtained an audio recording of a 2021 meeting between Donald Trump and his son at Trump's New Jersey golf resort. The recording could prove to be a vital piece of evidence in special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into the former president.

Trump was recorded saying that the documents were the "papers" while talking about the Pentagon's plans. He then referred to something else as confidential. The former president's use of these lines suggests that people were in the room, and it could be a problem.
In a meeting with a female staff member, Trump reportedly joked about Hillary Clinton's email scandal, saying that she would send it to Anthony Weiner, and he noted that he could have declassified it as the president.
During a July 2021 interview, Trump was asked about the Iran deal by Mark Meadows, the former chief of staff of Trump. According to the audio recording, which was obtained by CNN, the president was able to show the people in the room classified information.
Trump has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges related to the mishandling of classified information at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. It is not yet clear if the evidence will be regarded as the "smoking gun" that will prove his wrongdoing.
The conservative supporters of Trump may argue that he was merely joking or boasting due to the presence of laughter in the room, and he was referring to various articles and media stories.
The network did not provide a clear explanation as to where it got its copy of the recording, raising the possibility that the Justice Department might be leaking details to the media.
As a conservative journalist, I believe that the release of the audio recording by CNN is yet another example of how the left-wing media is obsessed with attacking Trump. The fact that the network was able to obtain the recording shows that they are trying to undermine the former president. It's also clear that they are doing this in order to smear him.
