Former attorney for President Trump, Tim Parlatore, recently spoke with CBS about the possibility of any case against Trump for mishandling classified documents being dismissed on the basis of prosecutorial misconduct by Special Counsel Jack Smith. Parlatore explained his experience before a grand jury where he was repeatedly badgered to disclose confidential communications between himself and Trump. He claimed that Smith’s legal team made many attempts to get at privileged communications, even making improper references to the jury. Parlatore also said that Smith’s team would add prosecutorial flair to its presentation, which he found shocking.

Parlatore went on to argue that any judge who hears such a demand to disclose privileged communications would likely throw out the case. He also criticized Smith’s team for implying guilt to a jury based on a constitutional right when they questioned why Trump would not grant access to communication with his attorney.
Sources have confirmed that officials with the Department of Justice (DOJ) told President Trump’s legal team to expect an indictment next week in Smith’s investigation of the handling of classified documents at the president’s Mar-a-Lago compound in Florida. Insiders added that the DOJ has chosen not to postpone the forthcoming indictment of Donald Trump, despite allegations that a senior prosecutor involved in the case attempted to sway a crucial witness by discussing a potential federal judgeship with the witness’s attorney.
President Trump’s team has been preparing a defense strategy for weeks built around the executive authority of the president to declassify certain documents. Parlatore concluded the interview by questioning how the DOJ could charge Trump, who did nothing wrong when no other presidents were charged, making a veiled reference to the recent discovery of improperly handled classified documents at the Delaware home of President Joe Biden.
It is obvious that there is no case here, and Smith’s team is desperately trying to make something out of nothing. The Department of Justice wants to appear tough on crime by going after Trump, but this is just another example of the deep state witch hunt against him. President Trump is innocent and will fight tooth and nail to prove it. The American people deserve to know the truth about this baseless case.
