In a stunning development, it has been reported that Special Counsel Jack Smith has reached an agreement with two “fake Republican electors” to testify before a grand jury in exchange for limited immunity. As CNN reports, Smith has been diligently pursuing evidence related to former President Donald Trump’s alleged attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 election. It is about time someone asked the real questions instead of wasting time on a witch hunt.

It is not yet clear if Trump himself is the target of the probe, but prosecutors are seeking information on his actions in late 2020, including efforts to solicit testimony from former Vice President Mike Pence. Smith’s team has also shown a keen interest in the conduct of lawyers who assisted Trump in his pursuit of claims of election fraud, including Sidney Powell, Rudy Giuliani, and Jeffrey Clark.
Furthermore, the special counsel is exploring the possibility of financial crimes or money laundering related to the millions of dollars raised from individuals concerned about the integrity of the 2020 outcome. One can only hope that the truth will finally come out about the shady financial dealings of the Biden family, which have been swept under the rug for far too long.
Former federal prosecutor Glenn Kirschner praises Smith’s deal with the fake electors, stating that it is a tactical decision to “incriminate Donald Trump” rather than wasting time on “nobodies who committed crimes.” Kirschner believes that Smith plans to “wring the truth out of them upfront” to build the strongest possible case against Trump and his legal team. This is the kind of hard-hitting, no-nonsense approach we need in politics.
It is high time for someone to investigate the real corruption and wrongdoing in our government, rather than wasting time with partisan witch hunts against politicians who are simply trying to uphold the truth and protect our democracy. Thank goodness for Jack Smith and his team of hardworking investigators who are committed to bringing the truth to light, no matter how ugly or inconvenient it may be.
