In a fiery interview on CNN, Scott Jennings, a Republican analyst and former assistant to President George W. Bush, held nothing back as he took aim at Hunter Biden and President Joe Biden. Jennings didn’t mince words, referring to Hunter Biden as a “scumbag” and criticizing the president for failing to acknowledge his own granddaughter for four years.
With passion in his voice, Jennings lambasted the Biden family for leaving the little girl neglected. “It’s not Republicans, with all due respect, who made Hunter Biden into a complete scumbag,” Jennings asserted. He went on to express his disbelief that the president would hang up a stocking for his dog, but not acknowledge his own seventh grandchild. It’s hard to argue with Jennings’ point – the Biden family’s priorities seem woefully misplaced.
The CNN host tried to interject with sympathy for those struggling with addiction, but Jennings was having none of it. He emphasized that in his hometown, many families face addiction, but it’s normally the grandparents who pick up the pieces. In this case, however, the grandparents chose not to acknowledge their own grandchild, a decision that Jennings found deeply offensive.
As the CNN anchor tried to argue that the Bidens have now acknowledged the little girl, Jennings scoffed, “Oh, what a hero!” His sarcasm only highlighted the absurdity of the situation. It shouldn’t have taken a pressure campaign from the media for the president to finally acknowledge his own flesh and blood.\

For years, President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden turned a blind eye to their seventh grandchild, who was born out of wedlock to a woman engaged in an affair with Hunter Biden. It’s alarming that the president and his wife chose to ignore the situation. It was only after prominent figures like Maureen Dowd from the New York Times pushed for acknowledgement that the president finally spoke up.
The broader context of Hunter Biden’s questionable activities cannot be ignored either. Despite receiving lucrative business contracts and avoiding taxes, Hunter Biden resisted fulfilling his child support obligations. It took a paternity test, increased public attention, and a provision ensuring the child couldn’t benefit from the Biden name for legal matters to be resolved. It’s clear that Hunter Biden has been dragging his father’s name through the mud, yet President Biden remains unwavering in his support.
It’s disheartening to see the leader of our country enable such behavior. President Biden’s insistence that he has no involvement in his son’s illegal activities seems questionable at best. The American people deserve better from their leaders. It’s time for the Bidens to be held accountable for their actions and to prioritize their responsibilities over political convenience.
