Andrew Bogut, a former NBA star and a father of a 6-year-old son, has raised concerns about the dangerous gender ideology being promoted by the far-left, which is aimed at indoctrinating young children. During an appearance on “The Ingraham Angle” on Tuesday, Bogut discussed the issue of radical gender “inclusivity” and recounted how he was presented with four gender options when trying to enroll his son in soccer. Bogut cautioned that unless this kind of gender ideology is checked, it could have harmful consequences for this generation of young children.

In a statement, Bogut conveyed his dissatisfaction with the far-left’s drive for gender inclusivity and commented, “The term ‘inclusive’ is the greatest misnomer of our time. It’s not inclusive when it comes to six-year-old children. My wife registered for it and forwarded me a screenshot… Shouldn’t we just let children be children?” Bogut emphasized that while adults should have the freedom to engage in any sexual activities they choose, it is crucial to remember that children’s brains are not yet fully formed.

Bogut took to Twitter last month to share an image of the signup options he encountered when enrolling his son in soccer through “Football Australia,” the country’s national organization. The picture showed four gender choices for the child: one for females, one for “Non-Binary/Gender Fluid,” and another for “Gender identity not sufficiently represented.” Bogut expressed disbelief at the form, stating that “if they’re under 18 and indicating their age, they shouldn’t be presented with all of these options. The other choices that would be more suitable for my six-year-old include Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man, Superman, Batman.”
Regrettably, Bogut faced criticism for his views from Australian journalists Matt Bevan and Lilly Vitorovich. Bevan remarked, “That’s a standard form, mate. Are you implying that they should modify it so that the parents of six-year-olds are not alarmed by having to select an option?” Vitorovich added, “It’s ridiculous and heart-wrenching to imagine that it’s a possibility at the age of six!” Ceran Sarper, a former female basketball player from Turkey, also weighed in on the matter, stating, “It’s fascinating to see people’s adverse reactions to your tweet. I am a staunch supporter of the LGBTQ+ community, but this is going too far, to be honest.”
Bogut remarked that in his home country, Australia, it is still considered “taboo” to resist radical gender ideology. He stated, “In Australia, it is still considered taboo to oppose … this kind of gender ideology, which is being promoted under the guise of the rainbow flag and the LGBTQ+ community. I don’t have any issue with them as adults. They should do what they want, but they should not involve children in it. If mothers and fathers of their children don’t take a stand, it will have a negative impact on the current generation of young kids, and it will continue to do so unless we address it now.”
