Tim Ballard, the mastermind behind the blockbuster hit “Sound of Freedom,” delivered a jaw-dropping testimony on Thursday before the Homeland Security Committee, pleading with President Joe Biden to address the alarming border crisis. With bone-chilling statistics and personal stories, Ballard painted a terrifying picture of the unimaginable horrors children face when it comes to human trafficking at the border.
Kicking off his testimony in style, Ballard addressed Chairman Green, Ranking Member Thompson, and the members of the Homeland Security Committee, exclaiming, “It’s an honor to testify here today, folks! And let me tell ya, I’ve got something powerful to show ya.” He then proceeded to showcase a spine-tingling scene from his popular film, “Sound of Freedom,” which was based on a real-life experience he had back when he was part of the Department of Homeland Security. According to Ballard, “The only reason we were able to save this precious little boy was because those border walls forced his captors to take him through an official checkpoint. Thank goodness for those walls, am I right?”
But that was just the tip of the iceberg. Ballard’s testimony was laced with shocking statistics and heart-wrenching anecdotes that left everyone in the room utterly speechless. He grimly emphasized, “Imagine this, folks: a child being sold not just once, not even twice, but up to 20 times a day, six days a week, for a whopping 10 years or longer. Can you believe it? It’s a travesty!”
And if that wasn’t enough to get lawmakers’ attention, Ballard also shed light on the record-breaking number of encounters at the U.S.-Mexico border in 2022. He revealed, “Hold onto your seats, folks, because in 2022 alone, the border patrol folks encountered a mind-boggling 152,000 unaccompanied minors at or near the border. That’s a record high, my friends.”
With his wealth of experience in dealing with human trafficking, Ballard shared gut-wrenching stories of survivors who had been mercilessly trafficked by heartless cartels. Recounting one harrowing tale, he said, “Imagine this, folks: a young woman brought across the border where there weren’t any barriers or protections in place. Once in the good ol’ U.S. of A, she was sold like a commodity and endured the unimaginable–being raped for money anywhere from 30 to 40 times a day for five agonizing years. It’s beyond comprehension!”
Our elected/selected officials have no hearts. There is something inherently wrong with them … but they are damn good at campaigning and selling BS.

But Ballard didn’t shy away from calling out the current administration’s policies, either. He held nothing back, declaring, “Folks, this administration’s policies have unwittingly turned the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Health and Human Services into nothing more than child trafficking delivery services. It’s a tragic truth that needs to stop, and it needs to stop now!” Ballard also slammed the government for losing track of a jaw-dropping 85,000 minors, stating boldly, “Let’s start by finding those 85,000 missing unaccompanied children, which this administration conveniently claims is not their problem anymore. Well, guess what? It is their problem, and they need to own up to it!”
Ever since President Biden took office in January 2021, the Biden administration has been slammed with one border crisis after another. The rapid surge in border crossings has put immense strain on the resources of U.S. Customs and Border Protection and other federal agencies.
In May 2021 alone, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reported encountering a staggering 180,000 individuals at the border, the highest monthly total in over 20 years. That’s mind-blowing, folks!
One of the major concerns has been the escalating number of unaccompanied minors arriving at the border. The Biden administration faced severe backlash for the deplorable conditions these children were held in, often packed like sardines in overcrowded facilities never intended for long-term housing.
In his closing remarks, Ballard drove home the true meaning of freedom, stating, “Folks, real freedom ain’t about having a phone number in the pocket of some unknown sponsor or undergoing a perilous journey through South and Central America. Real freedom means safety and protection from abuse and abusers for our most vulnerable population–our beloved children, our future.”
We couldn’t have said it better ourselves, Tim. It’s high time this administration took decisive action to tackle the border crisis and put an end to the abhorrent child trafficking happening right under our noses. Our children deserve better, and we must demand it, loud and clear!
