Democrats Robert Garcia and Maxwell Frost wanted taxpayers to cover their trip to check on a deported gang suspect. Comer slammed their request as “absurd” and refused to approve a single dime. He told them to pay for the trip themselves if they cared so much. Republicans won’t let hardworking Americans foot the bill for radical political theater.
The suspect in question, Kilmar Abrego Garcia, was rightly deported for gang ties despite leftist complaints. An immigration judge confirmed his MS-13 connections before he was sent back to El Salvador. Democrats now treat this criminal like a victim while ignoring law-abiding citizens. Their priorities are backwards and dangerous.
President Trump’s policies have made America safer by removing violent gang members. Republicans visited El Salvador’s maximum-security prison to show solidarity with our allies. Meanwhile, Democrats want to coddle criminals and undermine border security. Their endless excuses for illegal behavior put American lives at risk.
The Supreme Court recently ordered Garcia’s return, but Republicans aren’t backing down. They know this is just another attempt to weaken immigration enforcement. Democrats use every loophole to attack common-sense rules. It’s time to stand with law enforcement, not foreign gang members.
