GOP Lawmaker Fights Back: Death Penalty for Child Rapists Unveiled!

New Mexico might be taking some inspiration from Florida’s playbook. A legislator in the state is pushing for the reinstatement of the death penalty, specifically for criminals convicted of child sex offenses. This move comes after the disturbing revelations about Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking empire and its alleged ties to New Mexico. Republican state Rep. Stefani Lord has introduced a bill that would require the death penalty for certain sex crimes against children.

Lord’s bill is a direct response to what she sees as leniency towards pedophiles and rapists. She’s had enough of the Democrats consistently blocking attempts to pass tougher criminal justice bills. In Lord’s eyes, there is no cure for pedophilia or rapists, so the only logical solution is to give them the death penalty. She even draws a comparison to Florida, where GOP presidential candidate and Governor Ron DeSantis signed in a legislation allowing the death penalty for child rape convictions.

Under Lord’s proposal, anyone convicted of certain sexual offenses against children would face the death penalty. This includes aggravated criminal sexual penetration of a child, criminal penetration of a child, and child sex trafficking. Additionally, the bill would raise the age at which children are protected from 13 to 18.

While Lord’s bill certainly has a noble goal, she acknowledges that it’s going to be a tough battle to get it passed. She’s willing to hand it over to a Democrat if they can make it happen. The priority here is to stop sex trafficking and bring justice to the victims. Lord firmly believes that it’s time to draw a line in the sand and say enough is enough. Child rapists and pedophiles should face the ultimate consequence — the death penalty.
