Harris Faces Skepticism on Fracking in Pennsylvania Voter Outreach

Kamala Harris appears to think she can play name that tune with voters in Pennsylvania, but they’re not singing along to her modified lyrics on fracking. The Vice President has gone from openly advocating a fracking ban to claiming all is well and good in her energy policies, but Pennsylvania’s energy workers aren’t buying it. They see her newfound commitment to “fracking” as genuine as a three-dollar bill.

In 2020, Harris was clear as mud about her fracking stance. Now, in the wake of what can only be called a brutal reality check, she insists that her views have somehow evolved—right after her aides scrubbed her track record clean. Residents of the state, however, aren’t ready to erase their memories of Harris as she attempts to dance around her past comments. A visit from a Fox affiliate revealed that many workers think this about-face is just political maneuvering to secure votes ahead of the 2024 election.

Deep Well Services’ employees were not shy about sharing their opinions with Fox & Friends. Many workers expressed doubts about Harris’s sincerity, with one technical trainer pointing out that she seems to be saying whatever it takes to curry favor with voters. The mood among workers is largely skeptical, with several indicating they believe Harris’s claims are nothing more than hot air. The consensus is clear: if the VP thinks she can win over Pennsylvania energy workers with words alone, she’s sadly mistaken.

The president of Deep Well Services didn’t mince words either. He commented on the current administration’s tactics as a recipe for disaster for the energy sector. Under Biden’s leadership, the landscape for energy jobs has dramatically shifted, with tough regulations stifling workers and investors alike. The fear is palpable, as energy workers foresee a future filled with more regulations and less job security should Harris or Biden continue in power.

What’s even more concerning for energy independence advocates is Harris’s recent statements during debates, where she claims to have never banned fracking. A little historical revisionism would lead many to raise eyebrows, especially considering previous comments where she openly supported a fracking ban. To backtrack now is about as believable as a Hollywood celebrity swearing off plastic surgery.

Moreover, the Biden-Harris administration’s track record speaks volumes. They’ve barred new drilling on federal lands, blocked the Keystone XL pipeline, and implemented a slew of regulations that have hamstrung energy production. For Pennsylvanians, it’s crystal clear: trust in Harris is as scarce as a bear in a butterfly sanctuary. It seems like in the game of voter trust, Harris has lost the hand before the cards were even dealt.
