Harris falters as crises highlight failings of current administration

Hurricane Helene, a dockworkers’ strike, and a brewing conflict in the Middle East—talk about a trifecta. It appears that Kamala Harris is reaping the rewards of a chaotic world, and none of it is benefiting her campaign as she dances on the sinking ship that is Biden’s presidency. It’s almost as if the universe conspired to drop a series of crises right in Harris’ lap just as she preps to step into the spotlight. The sun is setting on her chances, and it seems these “October surprises” are more like October nightmares.

Let’s not forget the original promise of a “return to normalcy” that was paraded everywhere as the mantra of the current administration. But with a staggering eight million illegal aliens roaming the streets and the Department of Homeland Security playing hide-and-seek with hundreds of thousands, it’s safe to say that “normal” isn’t a state the Biden-Harris duo is able to define. Recent reports indicate that thousands of convicted criminals, including murderers and rapists, managed to stroll into the U.S. without so much as a polite welcome. If that’s normal, one might wonder what constitutes abnormal in the current regime.

The port strike, a delightful little gift from the left to the American public, threatens to stoke the inflation fires that have already roared to life under their watch. As if that weren’t enough, a potential shooting war between Israel and Iran looms in the background; surely, that won’t help the pump prices if tensions flare. Amid these crises, the dynamic duo of Biden and Harris are mostly issuing sympathetic statements and comforting handshakes while the nation gets lost in a quagmire of escalating issues.

Interestingly enough, the media seems curiously silent compared to their past behavior. Turning back the clock to Hurricane Katrina, George Bush was scalped in the press for his oversight. Fast forward to today, and it’s radio silence from the national news outlets about the disaster wreaking havoc in the Southeast as Hurricane Helene leaves residents grappling without power, food, or basic medical supplies. It’s abundantly clear—double standards are the name of the game.

Biden recently threw a symbolic grenade into the already murky waters of U.S.-Israeli relations by advising against any preemptive strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities. That one-word answer, “No,” might as well be an invitation for Israel to start acting independently. If Netanyahu decides to act regardless of what Biden’s team prefers—and it seems he just might—things could spiral into chaos, putting even more pressure on Harris and her failing campaign.

The labor unrest at the ports falls squarely on the Biden-Harris administration’s shoulders, particularly since they’ve created an environment that allows dockworkers to demand what can only be described as astronomical compensation. With salary demands that could send inflation skyrocketing yet again, it’s evident that the American people will not view this favorably. This is a political disaster waiting to happen—if just one of these crises erupts in full force, Harris might just find herself politically extinct before Election Day even rolls around.
