The conservative House Freedom Caucus is not holding back when it comes to setting the record straight on government spending. They’re saying, “Hey Republicans, don’t you dare make any shady deals with the Democrats. We want budget cuts, and we want them now!”

The caucus is throwing shade at the House GOP, warning them to stay clear of any secret agreements with the Democrats that would increase spending levels. They want the government budget to stay at or below the $1.59 trillion mark that was agreed upon earlier this year. They’re not mincing their words – they think anything less than reducing spending would be more failure and suffering for the American people.
Now, they’re not too happy about the possibility of an “agreement with Democrats.” They’re calling it out for potentially enacting higher spending levels than what was previously agreed upon. They’re not having it and are making it known that they find it totally unacceptable.
The newly appointed chairman of the caucus, Rep. Bob Good, is making it clear that he’ll be pushing GOP leadership for spending cuts and policy reform. He’s not afraid to keep the pressure on and wants House Speaker Mike Johnson to commit to reducing costs.
It’s no secret that House Republicans and Senate Democrats have been at odds over government spending. And now, with the clock ticking, the pressure is on to come to a spending agreement before the appropriations bills expire.
