Their narrative conveniently overlooked the crucial fact that Weiss had already attempted to bring charges against Hunter in June 2023, well before he donned the special counsel’s hat. This oversight has led legal experts to raise eyebrows. It’s almost like the attorneys were attempting a magic trick—now you see the charges, now you don’t.
In defense of their legal acrobatics, Biden’s attorneys contended that distinguishing between charges brought via an information and those brought through an indictment should earn them some leeway. However, anyone observing can see that this distinction seems less about legal clarification and more about ducking accountability. After all, who needs clear communication when you can just hope the judge finds your wordplay clever enough to let it slide?
