The once-beloved 99 Cents Only Stores are closing up shop, and it’s not just because they had to raise their prices by a measly two cents a while back. Nope, it’s the pesky combo of crime and inflation that’s dealt the final blow to this iconic chain. Let’s break it down, folks.
See, with all the chaos of the COVID pandemic and rising prices everywhere, it’s no wonder the 99 Cents Only Stores couldn’t keep their doors open. And let’s not forget the cherry on top – retail theft running rampant with hardly any consequences. In California, thieves can basically rob the store blind and skip away scot-free thanks to ridiculous laws like Prop 47. It’s the Wild West out there, folks.

Now, who’s getting the short end of the stick here? Well, first off, the 17,000 employees who just got the boot are now stuck in the unemployment line. And guess what? California and Nevada already have some of the highest unemployment rates in the nation. Way to go, Dems. Oh, and with California hiking up that minimum wage to a whopping $20.00 an hour, small businesses like 99 Cents Only Stores are dropping like flies. Good job, Sacramento.
And let’s not forget about us regular folks who relied on 99 Cents Only for affordable groceries and essentials. I mean, where else could you snag toothpaste or school supplies for just over a buck? Thanks to this closure, families struggling to make ends meet are left in the lurch. But hey, at least President Joe Biden and his buddies in the Dem party can still claim they’re looking out for the little guy while their policies keep hammering us hardworking Americans.
So, there you have it – the sad demise of a budget shopper’s paradise, all thanks to crime, inflation, and a good dose of government incompetence. Way to go, big government.
