Oliver argued men don’t transition just to dominate women’s sports. Shapiro fired back, “Who cares why they do it?” He noted biological men like Lia Thomas, who went from a mediocre male swimmer to crushing female competitors. Women like Riley Gaines are forced to race against males, risking their safety and scholarships.
The Daily Wire host highlighted the obvious: men have physical advantages. Even with hormone treatments, males retain muscle mass and bone density. Oliver tried downplaying this, claiming studies are “limited.” Shapiro countered that common sense and basic science prove men outperform women in sports.
Safety is another concern. Videos show male volleyball players spiking balls at high speeds, injuring female athletes. Shapiro warned this trend could lead to more harm. He compared it to letting adults play in kids’ leagues—a clear mismatch that ruins fairness.
Oliver’s monologue ignored real female athletes hurt by these policies. Conservatives argue women’s sports exist to protect opportunities for biological females. Letting men compete wipes out decades of progress. Shapiro called it “deranged” to prioritize feelings over facts.
The left’s push for transgender inclusion has become a political weapon. States like Texas and Alabama banned men from women’s sports, but liberals label these laws “discriminatory.” Shapiro accused Oliver of spreading propaganda to erase women’s rights.
