Kamala Harris Criticizes Trump While Overlooking Her Administration’s Divisive Actions

Vice President Kamala Harris recently made a cameo appearance at Joint Base Andrews, unleashing a flurry of claims against former President Donald Trump that showcased a remarkable level of irony. In her short, scripted speech, she accused Trump of trying to divide the country while somehow ignoring the obvious fact that her administration has been busy weaponizing government institutions against their political opponents. Talk about a classic case of “do as I say, not as I do.”

Harris made it clear that if Trump resumes his position in the Oval Office, he will supposedly prioritize crafting an “enemies list” instead of addressing the pressing needs of everyday Americans. Meanwhile, the Vice President asserted her own intentions to work on behalf of the people, but one has to wonder why she and President Biden have been so preoccupied with everything from climate change to electric cars instead of tackling the issues faced by the middle class. It appears her aspirations might be more aligned with the progressive agenda than with actually lifting up the American people.

During her performance in front of the press—an event neatly choreographed to ensure she faced only friendly questions—one particularly soft pitch asked Harris whether she felt there was a double standard in her campaign compared to Trump. Instead of addressing the substance of the question, she pivoted to discuss her playbook for empowering small businesses and helping young families, while conveniently leaving out any mention of the failing economy that her administration has overseen. Perhaps talking about inflation would have been too much of a buzzkill for her stock speech.

In the grand scheme of things, it’s quite rich for Harris to suggest that Trump would weaken America. After all, the country has seen its fair share of economic turbulence since the Biden-Harris duo took the reins, including skyrocketing prices at the grocery store and the gas pump. Yet, here she is, promising to fix the economy while ignoring her own administration’s failures. Declaring war on “price gouging” sounds nice in theory, but it’s a rather weak excuse for the administration’s economic mismanagement that has left many families struggling.

Ironically, as she calls for unity and accuses Trump of inflaming division, Harris conveniently sidesteps the inflammatory rhetoric used by herself and others in the radical left, which has arguably contributed to some serious threats against Trump that no one seems to want to address. If there’s anyone stirring the pot of division, it’s the very administration that blames Trump for all the nation’s woes while refusing to acknowledge their own role in the climate of hostility. Harris’ rhetoric may fly well in her tightly controlled media appearances, but the American public deserves to see a leader focused on real solutions rather than just sharpening political knives.
