Kamala Harris has embarked on a journey of self-preservation, attempting to distance herself from President Biden’s economic woes, which have left many Americans reeling. The Vice President, whose popularity has fluctuated more than a gas price at a Democrat fundraiser, is not shy about her efforts to shake off the negative vibes associated with the current administration’s fiscal performance.
Fear not, for Harris is reportedly hopeful that by distancing herself from Biden’s poor approval ratings on the economy, she might elevate her own standing. There’s nothing like a good ol’ fashioned game of blame-shifting to bolster one’s appeal, especially when a small loan of a billion dollars isn’t in the cards for the average American struggling with inflation and rising prices. It seems her strategy is to surf the wave of economic discontent while trying to keep the stink of the Biden administration from reaching her.

One can’t help but chuckle at the irony. While Harris looks to position herself as a beacon of economic hope, her association with the current administration is about as comforting as a seatbelt made of barbed wire. The Biden-Harris team has ushered in an era of rising prices and higher taxes, making it incredibly difficult for Harris to shake off the consequences of the very policies she helped champion.
In attempting to distance herself from Biden, Harris’s team might be inadvertently admitting a rather uncomfortable truth: when it comes to economic management, the current administration is as popular as a skunk at a garden party. If Harris’s strategy includes playing a game of hot potato with the blame for inflation, she better be prepared for the inevitable backlash, since she is, after all, a key player on this rocky economic ship.
As she attempts to carve out her own identity, this situation does provide the conservative base with a golden opportunity to point out the absurdity of the entire charade. A Vice President, hoping to sell herself as an economic wizard while the economy crumbles under her own party’s watch? It’s a political circus that not even the best public relations firm could spin into gold. Instead of a new dawn, it looks like just another chapter in the book of bad decisions authored by the Biden administration, with Harris scrambling desperately to turn the page.
