The Kennedy Center, named after one Republican president and honoring another by hosting Bill Maher, a loud and proud Trump-basher, for its so-called “Mark Twain Prize for American Humor”—you can’t make this stuff up. They’ve picked a guy whose entire shtick is mocking conservatives, sneering at middle-class America, and trashing anyone who doesn’t bow to the woke mob. This is what today’s liberal elites call “comedy.”
Bill Maher doesn’t care about the millions of Americans who made this country great. He’s spent years ridiculing faith, traditional values, and anyone who dares to support President Trump. But now he gets a fancy award, handed to him by an institution that preaches about “tolerance” and “inclusion”—as long as you’re toeing the liberal line. The hypocrisy couldn’t be more obvious.

Let’s be real: If you step back and look at who gets honored by these D.C. elites, it’s always their own. They ignore comedians who actually make people laugh without shoving leftist politics down our throats. Instead, they celebrate the latest celebrity willing to insult conservatives, make fun of patriotism, and push globalist talking points. That’s how you get invited to their gala dinners and cocktail parties.
Does Maher even represent the spirit of Mark Twain? Twain stood up to big power and used humor to poke fun at the government and the folly of the establishment. Maher just parrots the same tired liberal cliches you can find on any late-night show. It’s an insult to compare him to a true American icon.
In the end, the Kennedy Center has become just another stage for the liberal elite to pat themselves on the back for being “brave” while spouting the same anti-Trump, anti-America garbage they always do. Here’s a thought: Maybe next year they’ll give the award to someone who still believes America is worth laughing with, not at. Bet the chances of that happening right after pigs fly over the Potomac.
