The mainstream media is up to their usual antics, trying to twist a human interest story into a political hit piece against the Right. The story is about a five-man crew trapped inside a submersible searching for the Titanic wreckage, and the massive effort to rescue them as their life support dwindles. It’s a heart-wrenching story, and yet the Left insists on bringing politics into it by highlighting the CEO of OceanGate’s past donations to Republican candidates. What does that have to do with the rescue mission? Absolutely nothing, but the Left will use any opportunity to attack conservatives.
TITANIC ACCIDENT. When I was at ABC News, I became the first TV correspondent in history to report from the wreck of the Titanic at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, 2-1/2 miles below the surface. An accident happened that almost claimed my life. Here's what happened. #Titanic… pic.twitter.com/b4t3WtaRdc

It’s not just the CEO’s political donations that the Left is obsessing over. They’re also trying to shame the media for covering the rescue mission instead of migrants who drowned off the coast of Greece. Yes, it’s a tragic situation, but it has no relevance to the missing submersible. The Left just can’t resist painting Republicans as heartless and uncaring, even when it’s completely unrelated to the story.
It’s clear that the Left has a biased agenda, and they’ll stop at nothing to push their political narrative. But we won’t let them distract from the real issue at hand: the five men who are trapped in a submersible with less than 12 hours of life support left. We need to keep the focus on the rescue effort and pray for their safe return. That’s what really matters, not political donations or shaming the media for trying to shed light on this important story.
