On Tuesday, Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican from Georgia, was appointed to the House Committee on Homeland Security.
Previously, Greene had been removed from her committee assignments. But, she has become closer to House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy following the GOP's short-lived attempt to establish new leadership.
People who are passionate about Joe Biden criticized Greene's appointment to the committee.

As a member of Congress from the 14th District of Georgia, Greene supported Donald Trump during the presidential elections of 2020 and 2022. She won her district by a large amount.
She is an advocate for policies that are conservative, such as those related to immigration and national security. During her campaign, she stated that she would protect America's borders and put the country first.
Since the inauguration of the Biden administration in January 2021, Ms. Greene has been vocal about her criticism of the policies of the former vice president. She has claimed that he has weakened border security.
She also claimed that the president and his supporters have fostered divisiveness by implementing policies that she believes favor groups such as illegal immigrants.

As a member of the Committee on Homeland Security, Ms. Green can continue to advocate for policies that are conservative. She has supported efforts to increase the resources for border security and the enforcement of stricter measures along the southern border.
