Canada just had one of the deadliest school shootings in its history, but don’t expect the liberal media to dwell on it. Why? Because the facts don’t fit their narrative. The shooter in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, wasn’t who they love to demonize. This was a young transgender individual, Jesse Van Rootselaar, who took the lives of nine innocent people and left dozens wounded before ending their own life. As soon as it became clear the suspect ticked woke boxes, the usual headlines dried up. The Canadian authorities even used bizarre, politically correct language — calling the killer a “gunperson.” It’s almost as if the truth makes them uncomfortable.
You won’t see professional activists parading in the streets or the talking heads demanding answers on why someone from this supposedly “marginalized” group committed such evil. When something like this happens, the left scrambles for another crisis to distract the public. Liberal politicians will spout off about gun control, but will they ever address the growing connections between gender ideology, mental illness, and these tragic acts? Not a chance. It’s easier for them to blame law-abiding gun owners and dodge the real issues.

The mother, Jennifer Strang, and her stepson lost their lives at home before the rampage even started. The shooter’s father, who was estranged and cut out of the child’s life, expressed sorrow — but let’s be honest, the damage was already done. When families are torn apart, when fathers are pushed out, and when society encourages mental confusion instead of seeking solutions, communities are left to pick up the pieces of the carnage.
Liberal politicians and their friends in the media never waste a tragedy — unless it threatens their worldview. They’ll tie themselves in knots to avoid asking the hard questions about mental illness and the social experiment of promoting radical gender ideology to vulnerable young people. Instead, they’ll hide behind meaningless words and shift blame to safe targets. How many times will this script play out before responsible adults start calling out the hypocrisy?
This is where decades of progressive social engineering have gotten us: more chaos, more death, and more excuses. Until we dare to face reality, stories like Tumbler Ridge will keep happening. Will liberals ever wake up? Or will their silence make them complicit in the next tragedy?
