Malik Obama, the brother of former President Barack Obama, is at it again with his outlandish Twitter comments. This time, he’s questioning his brother’s sexuality because of his support for diverse books in libraries. Can you believe it? Malik seems to think that supporting a range of viewpoints means someone must be gay. Talk about a leap in logic!

It’s not the first time Malik has made such outrageous remarks. Just a few weeks ago, he did the same thing. It’s clear that he has a habit of trying to grab attention with baseless claims about his brother. It’s unfortunate, really, because family should be a source of support and love, not a platform for petty attacks.

The relationship between Barack and Malik has always been complicated. Malik has a habit of publicly criticizing his brother, whether it’s about their family in Kenya or their political differences. It’s disappointing to see a sibling using their platform to tear down their own family member. Maybe Malik is just bitter that Barack didn’t turn the White House into a hotel for their relatives.
What’s even more ironic is Malik’s support for Donald Trump. Despite Trump’s divisive rhetoric and policies, Malik somehow found it in himself to back the former president in both the 2016 and 2020 elections. It just goes to show that family ties don’t always result in the same political beliefs. Maybe Malik should focus on reflecting on his own political choices rather than making baseless accusations about his brother’s sexuality.
In the end, Malik’s comments only serve to highlight his own ignorance and desperation for attention. Barack Obama should be commended for his support of diversity in literature and his commitment to making all voices heard. It’s a shame that his own brother can’t see the importance of inclusivity and chooses instead to stoop to childish insults.
