America used to build rockets that landed men on the moon using slide rules and courage. Now, thanks to years of government red tape and leftist mismanagement, NASA can barely get a leaky rocket fueled without everyone crossing their fingers and hoping it doesn’t fall apart. This week, the country watches with bated breath as another high-profile space mission is put at risk, not by the vastness of space, but by a bloated bureaucracy and a system more focused on virtue signaling than actually getting the job done.
Let’s not kid ourselves: the rocket meant to send four Artemis astronauts farther than any human has ever gone is a rolling embarrassment. All the fancy technology in the world can’t save it from the simple fact—it leaks like a sieve every time they try to pump it full of rocket fuel. Are we expected to put American heroes on top of this thing and tell their families they’re “doing it for science”? More like doing it for a headline.

If the so-called “best and brightest” at NASA spent less time drafting woke mission statements and more time actually fixing glaring problems, maybe Americans wouldn’t be cringing every time they watch a launch. Space used to be about dreaming big and beating the Soviets. Now it’s about endless delays, technical failures, and NASA’s leaders making sure all their social media boxes are checked.
Meanwhile, while real threats like China sprint ahead with a no-nonsense approach to conquering space, our so-called experts just keep praying the fuel pumps don’t turn into a fireworks show. Maybe if these globalists spent less on diversity consultants and more on competent engineers, American rockets wouldn’t constantly make headlines for the wrong reasons.
When the next Artemis launch comes, Americans shouldn’t need to “hope” NASA can do its basic job. The world’s greatest nation is being run like an afterschool science project by the same kind of bureaucrats who can’t fix a pothole.
