Nebraska Solar Smash: Climate Change Catastrophe or China’s Fault?

Uh-oh, folks! There’s some bad news for all you solar energy enthusiasts out there. It seems like Mother Nature has a bone to pick with those pesky solar panels. In good ol’ Nebraska, a solar array got pummeled by baseball-sized hail. That’s right, hail the size of baseballs! And let’s just say those panels didn’t stand a chance against Mother Nature’s fastball.

Now, you might be wondering why this matters. Well, let’s start with the fact that these solar panels most likely came from Communist China. Yup, the country that loves to control everything and everyone. It turns out that a whopping 80% of solar panels come from China, and a staggering 95% of the polysilicon wafers come from the same place. Coincidence? I think not.

But hey, according to the International Energy Agency (IEA) Executive Director, Faith Birol, China’s monopoly on solar panels has actually helped bring down costs worldwide. Wow, good for them! I guess using slave labor and turning a blind eye to human rights violations really pays off. Who knew?

Now, let’s talk about the so-called “carbon footprint” of solar energy. You know, the thing that all the climate change alarmists like to tout. Well, turns out solar energy isn’t as green as they want you to believe. In fact, it has a bigger carbon footprint than wind or nuclear energy. Yeah, you read that right. Sweden, the land of ABBA and meatballs, has actually decided to ditch solar and go back to good old nuclear power.

And if that wasn’t bad enough, solar panels release a little thing called nitrogen trifluoride (NF3) into the atmosphere. And guess what? NF3 is 17,000 times worse for the environment than that infamous CO2 everyone’s always talking about. So much for being “green” and “clean.” Looks like solar energy has some dirty secrets of its own.

But don’t worry, folks! The Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) will most likely rebuild the solar array. And where will they get the new panels from? You guessed it — China! Because apparently, we can’t make solar panels right here in good ol’ America. Nope, we have to rely on a communist regime to provide us with our “clean” energy. How’s that for irony?

So, the next time someone tries to convince you that solar energy is the answer to all our problems, just remember the Nebraska solar array destroyed by baseball-sized hail. And ask yourself, do we really want to depend on a foreign country for our energy needs? I think not.

Editorial Opinion: It’s time to invest in American-made and reliable energy sources, like good old-fashioned coal or natural gas. We need to take control of our own energy future and stop relying on countries that don’t have our best interests at heart.
