New Books Expose Chaos in Democratic Party Over Biden Ahead of 2024 Election

A pair of new books hits the shelves spotlighting the disarray within the Democratic Party as it tries to sidestep the elephant—or rather, the faded figure—of Joe Biden in the lead-up to the 2024 presidential election. “Fight: Inside the Wildest Battle for the White House” and “Uncharted: How Trump Beat Biden, Harris, and the Odds in the Wildest Campaign in History” present inside information on how Biden’s mental faculties have not just diminished but practically vaporized since he decided to run for reelection, despite a well-orchestrated cover-up from his party. This made the Democrats’ forced pivot away from Biden back in July utterly chaotic, and spoiler alert: that turmoil is still evident today.

Democratic heavyweights took to the Sunday talk show circuit, but rather than showcasing their electoral brilliance, they fiddled while their party burned. CNN’s Jake Tapper, known for his pretense of objectivity, was paired with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, a man with zero charisma who’s still tethered in the shadows of a previous failed vice-presidential run. Amidst Walz’s attempts to push his oddball town hall format, he stumbled through questions about the party’s dire 29 percent favorable rating—a figure so low it could rattle the foundation of any campaign office. Regardless of this reality, Walz bizarrely claimed that Donald Trump was swimming in approval ratings even lower than Biden’s. One would think he’d have used his limited airtime to draw attention to pressing issues facing constituents back home rather than concocting imaginary numbers.

When Tapper found his spine and pressed Walz if Biden’s decision to run again was a colossal mistake, Walz’s response was one for the history books. Rather than acknowledging the massive cognitive decline that even Democrats can no longer hide, he rambled about the need to learn from history and not repeat past errors. This seemed more like a call for party unity than a genuine acknowledgment that perhaps the party needs fresh leadership—something many voters outside of the Democratic base have discerned for quite some time.

Meanwhile, Senator Chris Coons also found himself in hot water when he was grilled about covering up for Biden’s declining capabilities. Bream highlighted direct quotes from former White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain, revealing that even the operatives closest to Biden were in on the ruse. Coons danced around this uncomfortable truth, feigning ignorance about the White House’s internal dialogues regarding Biden’s performance while trying to pivot to Trump-bashing instead. Apparently, acknowledging the obvious would be a bridge too far for him.

Senator Adam Schiff, another stalwart in the circus of Democratic obfuscation, added to the spectacle with his unconvincing attempts at a diversion. When questioned about whether advisors misled the public regarding Biden’s cognitive health, Schiff was about as forthright as a politician with something to hide. Instead of addressing fundamental concerns about Biden, he recycled tired critiques of Trump and Democrats’ budgetary woes. It’s a standard play: when in doubt, cast blame elsewhere while dodging critical issues at hand. Schiff’s ramblings about Trump couldn’t mask his own party’s failures, especially given the mounting evidence of Biden’s disarray.

These Sunday talk shows were essentially a two-hour infomercial for the reality of Democratic failure – not just hiding from the truth, but trying to sell a flawed product to voters who have been increasingly informed despite the media’s best efforts. From Walz to Schiff, the party’s messaging is laced with denial about its own candidate struggling mightily. The deeper questions about Biden’s ongoing viability are mostly avoided, creating an absurd parallel to reality where the very future of the Democratic Party hangs on the frail shoulders of a leader clearly unable to keep pace. If these interviews are any indication, the Democrats remain trapped in a vicious cycle of evasion and excuse-making—a formula guaranteed to leave them licking their wounds come 2024.
