The budget is causing more problems for lawmakers and if they don’t come to an agreement by September 30, there could be a government shutdown. Nikki Haley, the former governor of South Carolina and current GOP presidential candidate, appeared on “Face the Nation” to take aim at both political parties for their excessive spending. According to Haley, Biden’s policies have pushed the country toward “socialism light” as he spends money on every single thing, forgetting the true role of government. Haley believes that government should be focused on securing the rights and freedoms of the people, not trying to be everything to everyone.
I had to balance the budget when I was governor. Americans have to balance their budgets at home. Both parties are addicted to spending. It’s time to put an accountant in the White House. pic.twitter.com/WXJE6RB8fH

Haley also expressed her concerns about the aging leadership in politics, pointing out that President Biden is 80 years old, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is 81, Rep. Nancy Pelosi is 83, and Sen. Dianne Feinstein is 90. Haley believes that these politicians have overstayed their welcome and that it’s time for a younger generation to take over. She called for term limits and mental competency tests for anyone over the age of 75, stating that it’s not meant to be disrespectful but rather to ensure that those in power are fit to serve.
In addition to her concerns about spending and aging leadership, Haley also made waves by suggesting that a vote for Joe Biden in 2024 is essentially a vote for Kamala Harris, as she believes Biden may not be able to serve out his term if reelected. Despite trailing in the polls to former President Trump, Governor Ron DeSantis, and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, Haley remains unafraid to speak her mind and share her conservative views.
