That’s right—$127 billion, for a city run into the ground by progressive policies. Governor Ron DeSantis was quick to point out the insanity in all this, throwing cold Florida water on the fever dream of collectivist spending. While New Yorkers get price-gouged and taxed to the bone, the city’s elites pretend money grows on trees—on the taxpayers’ backs, of course.
Team Mamdani and his progressive gang peddle the fantasy that big budgets mean big compassion. But here’s the truth they never want you to hear: every freebie—every “warm hug” from the government—comes straight out of your wallet. There’s no magic socialist cash machine. It’s your paycheck that keeps their bloated bureaucracy spinning.
