Despite her claims of wanting the party to rally behind a better candidate, it almost sounds like she views that candidate as an alternative to Biden—clearly, one might assume their loyalty to the party takes a backseat to a shared animosity towards Trump.
Pelosi’s denials of ever tussling with Biden concerning polling and strategy further underscored how adeptly she maneuvers the political chessboard. Her testimony about her amicable relationship with Biden, complete with tales of their long friendship, was simultaneously charming and suspicious, reminiscent of a soap opera plot twist. The fact that they haven’t spoken since his withdrawal speaks volumes, suggesting that friendship only endures as long as political alignments remain beneficial.
