Pennsylvania Poll Shows Trump Leading Biden by 4 Points

A new poll from AARP has revealed that former President Donald Trump is leading President Joe Biden in a head-to-head matchup in Pennsylvania, with Trump holding a four-point advantage over Biden. When third-party candidates are factored in, Trump's lead grows to five percentage points. This result suggests that Trump's popularity remains strong among Pennsylvania voters.

The poll highlights that Trump's support is particularly robust among voters aged 50 and over. Within this demographic, the 50-64 age group shows a strong preference for Trump, while the 65 and older segment is more evenly divided, making the outcome in this age group less certain.

Trump's success can be attributed to several factors, including his high approval among Republicans and a significant lead among Independent voters. Biden, on the other hand, seems to be facing challenges in consolidating support within the Democratic Party. In a head-to-head matchup, Trump leads Biden among Independents by 10 percentage points, indicating his strong appeal to this crucial group.

The survey also underscores Biden's struggle with job approval ratings. He currently has a net job approval rating of -26, while Trump enjoys a positive net job approval rating of +4. These figures suggest that public sentiment is more favorable towards Trump, raising concerns for Biden's reelection campaign.

The AARP poll was conducted from April 24 to 30, 2024, among 600 statewide voters, with a margin of error of +/- 4 percent. Additional surveys, such as one by CBS News in swing states
