Once again, another airline fiasco makes the news—not because of turbulent skies, but because of turbulent attitudes. A Georgia woman recently brought a Delta flight to a screeching halt in Miami, not because of safety issues, but because she decided her phone call was more important than everyone else’s time, patience, and plans. The flight was forced to return to the gate, all because one entitled passenger refused to hang up and follow simple rules. Welcome to the self-obsessed America that the left has been encouraging for years.
Let’s put the cards on the table: Everyone knows you’re supposed to turn off your phone once the plane is moving. It’s not a secret. It’s basic airline etiquette. But today’s culture of “me first” says rules are for other people. And who do we have to thank for this attitude? Liberal elites who preach the gospel of “do what feels good” and call it empowerment—never mind who gets hurt or inconvenienced.

This is what happens when respect, discipline, and basic manners get tossed out in favor of “my rights, my truth, my way.” We see it in schools, on city streets, and now, thirty thousand feet in the air. The globalist media likes to paint these “disruptors” as bold trailblazers. In reality, they’re just making life harder for the rest of us who actually play by the rules.
Delta had no choice but to drag the whole plane back to the gate, burning up fuel, wasting time, and frustrating a plane full of hardworking Americans—just so one person could finish her phone call. Imagine the chaos if every passenger acted this way. The country runs on shared values and cooperation, not on endless “me time.” This is exactly the sort of toxic nonsense that happens when personal responsibility is replaced by narcissism.
Airline staff have enough on their plates without being forced to babysit adults who refuse to grow up. The rest of us are ready to fly, work, and get on with our lives. If you can’t respect basic rules, maybe you shouldn’t be flying at all. Is it any wonder America feels like it’s headed off a cliff when even airplane etiquette is now seen as optional?
