A video of a male student who identifies as female assaulting a girl in a school in Oregon has gone viral. The footage shows the male student dressed as a girl violently attacking the girl, grabbing her backpack, throwing her backwards, and repeatedly punching her while shouting profanities. The girl is left visibly distraught.
The attack appears to have been premeditated, as multiple angles of the video show the male student planning the assault. Another video posted by a women's sports activist shows the same transgender student engaging in physical altercations with girls on separate occasions.
The incident raises questions about how the school district handles transgender students and disciplinary measures. The school district has implemented unisex bathrooms to accommodate transgender students, but concerns have arisen regarding the safety and discipline of all students.
